Maurizio Mengolini nasce a Faenza, dove nell’ anno 1965 consegue il Diploma di Maestro d’Arte presso il locale Istituto Statale d’Arte per la Ceramica.
A Bologna, due anni dopo, consegue l’abilitazione all’Insegnamento di disegno e storia dell’Arte (cl.’46).
Alla sua attività principale di progettazione artistico industriale, svolta presso Aziende di eco internazionale, ha affiancato una costante ricerca sulle arti grafiche, sulla scultura e pittura.
Dall’anno 1965 ha partecipato a concorsi nazionali e internazionali d’ arte ceramica, allestendo contemporaneamente mostre in varie città italiane.
Nel 1980 insegna Disegno dal Vero alla Scuola T.Minardi di Faenza.
Nell’anno seguente è chiamato ad esporre a studenti e docenti dell’Istituto d’arte sul tema: “Progettazione di Decori per Piastrelle”.
Dal 1981 al 1984 insegna Progettazione Artistica Industriale ad un corso per addetti agli Impianti Ceramici a Imola.
La sua attività di Designer è citata nelle più qualificate riviste del settore.

Maurizio Mengolini was born in Faenza where he graduated as Master of Arts at the local Institute of Ceramic Art in 1965.
He became a Professor of Painting, Drawing and History of Arts two years later in Bologna.
He has been constantly matching his main job of industrial artistic planner at the main Italian Companies well known all over the world with a constant research on graphic arts, sculture and painting.
He has been participating to national and international contests of ceramic arts since 1965, and contemporarely he has been making personal shows in various Italian towns.
In 1980 he tought Drawing at T.Minardi School in Faenza.
The following year he kept lectures on Planning Decors for Ceramic Tiles at the Art Institute of Faenza.
From 1981 to 1984 he tought Industrial Artistic Planning at a qualified course for professionals of Ceramics Plants in Imola.
His activity as a Designer is quoted in the most qualified magazines of the sector.

Maurizio Mengolini wird in Faenza geboren, wo er 1965 das Kunstdiplom erwirbt.
Zwei Jahre spaeter erhaelt er in Bologna die Befaehigung zur Ausuebung der Lehrtaetigkeit fuer Kunstzeichnen und Kunstgeschichte (cl.46).
Neben seiner Haupttaetigkeit in industrieller artistischer Projektierung bei Firmen mit internationalem Echo, war er in staendiger Suche und Forschung auf dem Gebiet der graphischen Kunst, Bildhauerei und Malerei.
Seit 1965 nimmt er an nationalen und internationalen Wettbewerben der keramischen Kunst teil und organisiert gleichzeitig Ausstellungen in verschiedenen italienischen Staedten.
1980 lehrt er Zeichnen nach der Natur in der Schule T.Minardi, Faenza.
Im darauffolgenden Jahr wird er berufen, vor Schuelern und Lehrern des Kunstinstituts einen Vortrag ueber das Thema: "Projektierung von Dekoren für Keramikfliesen" zu halten.
